Part-Time Model
Season One
EPISODE 1 - "Sally"
Bret and Jemaine have relocated their band, Flight of the Conchords to New York with dreams of a successful music career and the allure of romance. They are formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo. But can the duo's friendship survive when Jemaine falls for Bret's ex-girlfriend? Meet ultimate fan Mel and band manager Murray while enjoying the classic songs, "Robots (a/k/a The Humans are Dead)" & ""The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room (a/k/a Part-Time Model)".
Inner City Pressure
EPISODE 2 - "Bret Gives Up the Dream"
Financial difficulties force the boys to go job hunting, but only Bret is successful, landing a spot as a sign holder. When his new schedule keeps him away from the band, Jemaine & Murray are forced to search for a replacement. The interview is hilarious considering it's a sign holding job! Jemaine's Bret puppet is hysterical too. Featuring two classics, "Inner City Pressure" & "She's So Hot, BOOM!"
EPISODE 3 - Mugged
Murray's plan to make Bret and Jemaine look more like genuine New Yorkers backfires when the pair is mugged by a 'gang' of two thugs. Bret abandons Jemaine to save his own life and this action sets off a series of events that puts their friendship to the ultimate test. We learn the rappin-names of our heroes will from now on be Rhymenocerous and Hip-hopapotamus. Murray's advice had this native NYer peeing in his pants.
If You're Into It
EPISODE 4 - "Yoko"
Bret starts spending an incresing amount of time with Coco, causing the jealous third-wheel Jemaine to dub her "Yoko". This leads to rift between the 2 best mates and possibly the dissolution of the band. Coco's poster vs. Bret self-portrait is almost as funny as the 2nd annual Fanclub Meeting with Mel and Murray. Two GREAT GREAT songs in this one are "Business Time" and "Coco's Song (a.k.a. "If You're Into It)", and yes it is one of the best episodes as well.
Business Time
EPISODE 5 - Sally Returns
With Bret and Coco doing their thing, Jemaine comes down with a case of the lonelys until he bumps into Sally at the laundromat. But she won't date him until he gets his own place, prompting him to rent a 'studio compartment' in a fancy doorman building. The tinyest house party you ever saw can't stop Jemaine from getting his 'Business Time'. Bad news...Bret is still in love with Sally too. The two songs featured here are "Business Time" and "Song for Sally".
EPISODE 6 - Bowie
Bret's body insecurities force him to seek counsel from Jemaine, Mel and several incarnations od David Bowie. The band's ship may finally have come in, but Bret's Bowie-inspired actions might threaten a lucrative deal with a novelty greeting card company.

DJ!!! I LOVE these guys! I wrote a Hub on "Business Time" for the HubLove contest. I will link to this one, definitely. The lyrics crack me up. You have some great stuff here (as always). Steph
OK, I put in TWO links to this hub in my hub.... that's the limit. LOL
Dude this is hilarious. My little brother loves this band, but I never found time to check them out. I guess I'm going to have to do that now.
I love these guys! I just put "Eagle vs. Shark" in my movie queue just because it has Jemaine in it...plus it looks hilarious.
Jemaine's "Be more constructive with your feedback" and "Team Building Exercise '99" are my favorite adlibs of all time.
This is an awesome hub! I love Flight of the Conchords and I'm hoping they decide to do a third season.

This show has just started on Aussie TV, and we are hooked on it.
It came out of nowhere - I hadn't heard of these guys 3 weeks ago.
Thanks for the hub.
