The Most Fun Hip-Hop Song of All-Time is...

I have debated quite a few different songs for this title and I believe I am standing on firm ground. Notice I did not say, "The Greatest Song or Best Song no no. Most rappers are too busy trying to play it as the greatest that they never have any fun. Can't these guys just let loose and be silly for five minutes? I'm not at all interested in living vicariously through your musical murder tales because I already heard 'em from the best.

That's what I'm talking about too. I'm not afraid to stick my neck out and choose the most fun song! To act the fool, if you will. I celebrate the goofy nature inside us all. You know Goofy. He's that guy who messes up stuff all day long and yet he smiles it all off. He knows what he is and be's it.

What kind of group can live up to that?

The stupidest, most 'we don't give a damn what you think about us because we can out-rhyme you any day of the week' type group. The One. The Only.

Freestyle Fellowship

They were from South Central L.A. but they weren't gangstas. They were ARTISTS in the true sense of the word. They were lyrically dominant over all their peers and yet never had a hit. The group consisted of Aceyalone, Mikah Nine, Mtulazjl PeAce and Self Jupiter, and there was no weak link. Formed and perfected at The Good Life Cafe which was a health food store that supported local rappers with an open mic. Their innovative delivery and superior enunciation skills at times bordered on scatting. Even the way they presented themselves was different. They were positive guys who hardly ever cursed but they sure didn't look soft either. They weren't perceived as hippies like De La Soul were or Arrested Development was. They were very funny guys but they didn't feel the need to act like a Flava Flav-style jester either. They were four guys who could do it better than you. You and your whole crew and everyone they ever knew too.

So which song is the most fun?

THAT WOULD BE HOT POTATO !
