Unearthing that Bette Midler record...Sick! I heard awhile back that a studio band was hired to replicate the 'Good Times' bassline for 'Rappers Delight' and that the first record to use sampling was 'The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel' but I could be mistaken. Anyway, thanks the nuggets Funktual.
